How to OS reload dedicated server

If you need to reload your OS, our IPMI proxy will not let you load your own ISO. As a courtesy, we have loaded several ISOs for several Linux distros including sysrescuecd. If you need an ISO we don't provide, please provide the ISO as a URL in a support ticket and our team will load it for you.

To boot from media, select Virtual Media and Virtual Storage. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Virtual Media menu and select Virtual Storage.
  2. Select CDROM&ISO tab (if available) otherwise Device 1 tab. Select "ISO File" from the Logical Drive Type. Click on "Open" to open our ISO store.
  3. Double click the "ISOs" folder.
  4. Select the ISO file that you would like to load on your server and click "Open".
  5. Click on "Plug in". It may take a minute or two for the ISO to load over the network.
  6. Make sure Connection Status History says "Plug in Success!" and click on "OK".
  7. Reboot your server and boot from the Virtual CDROM drive. You may have to press F11, F9, or ESC depending on the model of server.
