I ordered a dedicated server but was notified it's out of stock. What can I do?

Occasionally, you might order a dedicated server but receive notification that it is not in stock. We apologize if this happens to you. We do our best to keep our server page updated with the latest inventory but occasionally we run out of certain configurations before we're able to update it or it's a cached copy that our CDN did not immediately clear. We cannot hold servers, and they are sold on a first come, first served basis. If you are notified that your requested server is out of stock, we will directly open a ticket with you and provide you options. Options we offer:

  1. If the same config is available in another data center, we will offer it in the other location. Please keep in mind that we cannot move servers between data centers. If your preferred data center has your requested model available, you must submit a new order. However, we are happy to help you migrate.
  2. We will suggest a similar in stock model. It will either be the same price or cheaper. We will apply your payment to your account as credit and that will pay for your first invoice. If you would rather have a more expensive server, an invoice will be generated for the balance owed.
  3. We will suggest a custom server build if parts are available. Keep in mind that custom builds can take 24-72 hours to setup after ordering, although we generally complete them in less than 12 hours. Some builds can take up to a week or longer to deliver.
  4. We will provide a refund, less any non-refundable fees.

If you have any questions about a certain model or configuration, please feel free to contact us. We partner with many data centers and we might be able to get you a similar model in another location. You can also submit a no-obligation custom server request: https://www.nodespace.com/hosting/custom-servers/
