How to manage a server that isn't Server Manager-enabled

As a green company, we like to reduce the amount of e-waste by using server hardware until it is no longer functional or reasonable to operate. As such, we may have older systems that are not compatible with our Server Manager platform. If your server is not Server Manager-enabled, please continue to read this article for support.

Note: The tasks listed in this article are only for unmanaged servers without access to our Server Manager platform. If you have access to our Server Manager, you will be expected to perform these tasks on your own unless you have Managed Services.

Operating System Reloads

If you need an operating system reload, please contact our Support Team (support@nodespace.com) requesting an OS reload. Please provide the operating system you would like, and disk partitioning layouts, and we will reload your server.

Unmanaged/Self-managed Servers: We will provide 1 complimentary OS reload per billing cycle. Additional OS reload requests in a billing cycle are billed at $25 per OS reload. This fee is waived if the OS needs to be reloaded due to our fault (e.g. wrong partitioning layout, wrong OS, etc.).

Managed Servers: We will provide unlimited OS reloads per billing cycle.

Offline System Administration Tasks

If you need to perform an offline system administration task, such as a root password reset, we will perform this task for you free of charge. Contact our Support Team (support@nodespace.com) requesting this task.

System Reboots

If you need to reboot your server and are unable to do so from the operating system, please submit a request to our Support Team (support@nodespace.com). We will initiate a reboot on your behalf. Server reboots are unlimited and free of charge.
